About the Role
As a Room Attendant, you are essential to maintaining the pristine standards our guests expect. Your work directly impacts every guest's comfort and satisfaction during their stay at The Langham, Chicago. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling while you contribute to a team that takes pride in hospitality excellence.
What You'll Do
- Clean and prepare all areas of guest rooms to Langham standards, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors
- Use professional housekeeping equipment and supplies safely and effectively, including cloths, mops, and cleaning solutions
- Restock guest amenities and ensure rooms are fully provisioned before guest arrival
- Engage warmly with guests when appropriate, addressing requests and creating welcoming environments
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furnishings, or supply needs to supervisors promptly
- Follow all Langham procedures and safety protocols to maintain consistency and quality
- Work efficiently to complete assigned rooms within scheduled shifts while maintaining high standards
What We're Looking For
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering thorough, quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift equipment, and stand for extended periods
- Reliability and a professional, friendly demeanor with guests and colleagues
- Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is valued but training is provided
- Flexibility to work assigned part-time shifts
