About the Role

As a Roofer Repair Specialist with Schoenherr Roofing, you'll serve as the field expert for diagnosing and resolving roofing problems across residential properties throughout the Sterling Heights area. This is a hands-on, on-site position where your years of repair experience translate directly into homeowner confidence and long-term results. No remote work — this role puts you on the roof where the real work happens.

What You'll Do

• Perform skilled repairs on residential roof systems, including shingles, flashing, valleys, ridgelines, eaves, and penetrations
• Accurately trace and resolve active leaks, identifying root causes rather than masking symptoms
• Assess overall roof condition during service calls and document findings clearly
• Communicate repair scope and recommendations to homeowners and crew leads in plain language
• Maintain safe working practices at all times, including on steep-pitch and multi-story roofs
• Keep job sites clean and organized from start to finish

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on residential roofing installation experience
• At least 5 years of dedicated roofing service and repair experience
• Extensive knowledge of residential roof construction, detailing, and material systems
• Strong familiarity with asphalt shingles, underlayments, ice-and-water shield, and metal flashing components
• Proven ability to diagnose complex roofing failures and execute durable, code-compliant repairs
• Reliability, a professional attitude, and the kind of work ethic that shows in the finished product
