RN – Operating Room

AAH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team in Oak Lawn, Cook County. This is a part-time position for an experienced OR professional committed to delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

About the Role

As an Operating Room RN at AAH, you'll provide essential nursing support in our surgical suite, working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This part-time OR nursing role offers flexibility while allowing you to maintain clinical competency in one of healthcare's most dynamic settings.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and instrument trays
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses during procedures
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team with instrumentation and supplies
• Communicate effectively with all members of the surgical team
• Document patient care and surgical procedures according to facility protocols
• Support post-operative patient transfers and initial recovery care
• Maintain knowledge of surgical protocols and best practices
• Respond promptly to equipment needs and emergency situations

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in Illinois
• Experience working in operating room or perioperative settings
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments
• Commitment to patient safety and quality surgical care
• Flexibility and reliability in a part-time role
