RN Manager – Cardiac Progressive Care Unit

Join Mission Hospital in Brevard, Transylvania County, as a part-time RN Manager for our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. We're seeking an experienced registered nurse leader to oversee daily operations, mentor clinical staff, and ensure exceptional patient care in our cardiovascular progressive care setting.

About the Role

As the RN Manager of our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, you'll lead a team of nursing professionals committed to delivering high-quality care to cardiac and progressive care patients. This part-time management position offers the opportunity to influence patient outcomes, develop nursing talent, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across our Brevard campus.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource allocation for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit
• Mentor, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff to maintain clinical excellence and professional development
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor patient outcomes and work with the care team to drive continuous quality improvement
• Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and hospital leadership on care initiatives
• Address staff and patient concerns with professionalism and responsiveness
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts to build a strong clinical team

What We're Looking For

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive care or cardiac nursing experience
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Knowledge of cardiac conditions, monitoring, and evidence-based care protocols
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and a positive workplace culture
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; associate degree acceptable with experience
