About the Role

As a Nurse Extern in Spine, you'll work alongside registered nurses and physicians in a specialized orthopedic and spine surgical environment. You'll support patient care delivery while developing clinical competencies under direct supervision, preparing you for your transition to professional nursing practice.

What You'll Do

• Assist RNs with direct patient care in pre-operative and post-operative spine surgery settings
• Monitor patient vital signs, comfort levels, and recovery progress
• Help with patient hygiene, positioning, and mobility support
• Prepare surgical equipment and unit supplies under nursing guidance
• Communicate patient status and observations to the nursing team
• Support discharge planning and patient education activities
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment
