RN – Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU)

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU) in Englewood, Arapahoe County. This is a full-time, 13-week position providing specialized care for patients with acute cardiac conditions.

Role Overview

In this CCU nursing role, you'll provide direct patient care to individuals with complex cardiac diagnoses and acute heart conditions. Working in a focused, intensive care environment, you'll use advanced clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to support patient recovery and stability. This assignment offers valuable experience in specialized cardiac nursing at a respected Colorado healthcare facility.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac patients using continuous telemetry and hemodynamic assessment techniques
• Administer medications, manage intravenous access, and maintain fluid and electrolyte balance
• Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and clinical changes in real time
• Support patients through diagnostic procedures and post-procedure recovery
• Provide patient and family education about cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and nursing team members on comprehensive care delivery
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments and clinical observations in the electronic medical record
• Ensure patient comfort and maintain a safe, infection-controlled care environment

Requirements

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain one
• Nursing degree: ADN or BSN required
• Experience in critical care, acute care, or emergency nursing preferred
• Competency with cardiac monitoring technology and electronic health record systems
• Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Availability for night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
