Join Education Service Center Region 13 as a Restorative Practices Campus Facilitator at Westview Middle School in Pflugerville, Texas. This full-time role is an opportunity to transform school climate and student outcomes by implementing evidence-based restorative practices across campus.
About the Role
As a Restorative Practices Campus Facilitator, you'll lead efforts to build a more inclusive, equitable school community where students develop conflict-resolution skills and take ownership of their behavior and choices. Working within a Title I school setting, you'll partner with educators, families, and students to weave restorative approaches into the daily fabric of school life—shifting from purely punitive discipline toward accountability, healing, and growth.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate restorative circles, peer conferences, and community-building sessions with students and staff
- Coach teachers and administrators in restorative practices and responsive classroom strategies
- Develop and coordinate peer mediation and conflict-resolution programs
- Partner with families to support student engagement and address behavioral concerns through a restorative lens
- Monitor implementation progress and provide professional development to staff
- Build relationships with students, particularly those experiencing academic or behavioral challenges
- Contribute to a positive school culture that honors student voice and agency
What We're Looking For
- Current teaching certificate, social work certification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of restorative justice, restorative practices, or trauma-informed education
- Proven ability to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse students, families, and staff
- Commitment to educational equity and serving Title I student populations
- Strong organizational and facilitation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
