About the Role

WM is seeking a hands-on technician to operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas conversion equipment at our cutting-edge facility. This position offers substantial variety in daily responsibilities—you'll work independently while troubleshooting complex systems and keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor renewable natural gas generation equipment and connected processing systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on biogas compression, purification, and control components
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and respond quickly to alarms or system alerts
• Document operational data, maintenance activities, and system performance records
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations throughout daily operations
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to maintain optimal performance
• Work independently and collaboratively to support continuous facility operation

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant certifications valued
• Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to troubleshoot technical equipment
• Experience in plant operations, renewable energy, utilities, or similar technical environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and genuine commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and handle rotating schedules as required
• Clear communication skills and thoroughness in documenting work activities
