What You'll Do
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to intermediate care patients, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring of patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely within electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status; respond promptly to patient changes and adverse events
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions
- Participate in unit-based councils, quality improvement projects, and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to a culture of safety, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning
What We're Looking For
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in intermediate, critical, or acute care settings
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with ability to prioritize care in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based model
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
- BLS certification (ACLS and PALS certifications preferred)
