Registered Nurse – Operating Room – $10,000 Sign-On Bonus – Relocation Required to Odessa, TX

About the Role

As an OR RN at Odessa Regional Medical Center, you'll function as a critical member of the surgical team — serving in both scrub and circulating capacities to ensure every procedure is carried out safely, efficiently, and with the highest standard of patient-centered care. This is a full-time, on-site position in Odessa, Texas; relocation is required.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and ready patients for surgical procedures
• Serve as circulating RN, coordinating the OR environment, documenting care, and advocating for patient safety throughout each case
• Scrub into procedures, manage the sterile field, and handle surgical instrumentation with precision
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to support smooth case flow
• Assist with correct patient positioning, equipment setup, and counts (sponge, instrument, and sharps)
• Communicate handoff information clearly to PACU nurses and other post-operative care providers
• Maintain compliance with infection-control protocols and facility policies

What We're Looking For

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (Texas licensure or compact eligibility required)
• Prior experience in an Operating Room setting strongly preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Solid understanding of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and sterile field management
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork across multidisciplinary care teams
• Willingness to relocate to Odessa, TX prior to start date
