About This Position

The Recess Monitor position at Cascade Christian Schools is a part-time role focused on creating a safe, positive, and engaging outdoor play environment. You'll work directly with students during recess periods, helping them develop healthy social skills, resolve conflicts, and enjoy supervised physical activity. This role is essential to our school's daily operations and student care.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise students on the playground and outdoor recreation areas, maintaining constant vigilance for safety
• Enforce school policies and behavioral expectations during recess periods
• Respond to student conflicts and address behavioral issues appropriately
• Encourage positive peer interactions and inclusive play
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to school administration immediately
• Assist with organizing and facilitating recreational games and activities
• Monitor playground equipment and facilities for hazards or maintenance needs
