About the Role
As a Psychiatry Account Manager for Lundbeck, you'll own a geographically defined sales territory covering the El Paso region, including surrounding areas from Amorgodo, NM to the I-10 corridor at Lordsburg, and extending to Hobbs and Big Bend. You'll develop and execute account strategies to increase market share, build strong relationships with psychiatrists and mental health providers, and communicate the clinical value and benefits of Lundbeck's psychiatric portfolio. This is a performance-oriented role where your ability to influence key opinion leaders and drive prescription adoption directly impacts your success and the organization's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture professional relationships with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and mental health clinics across your El Paso, Las Cruces, and surrounding territory
- Educate healthcare providers on Lundbeck's psychiatric medication offerings, clinical efficacy, and patient support programs
- Develop and implement account strategies to grow market penetration and increase market share within your assigned territory
- Track and report on key performance indicators including calls, meetings, and prescription data to management
- Attend professional conferences, medical meetings, and local events to strengthen relationships and gather market intelligence
- Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical sales regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Proven track record in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical sales with demonstrated success in quota attainment
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, mental health treatment, or related therapeutic areas preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; willingness to travel extensively within your territory
- Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries with access to a major airport for business travel
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive sales targets in a competitive market
