The Production Lead position at Thorne near Summerville, SC places you at the center of manufacturing activities where you blend practical order fulfillment know-how with team guidance. You act as the go-to contact for Production Operators and stay aligned with Supervisors so quality, safety, and output targets stay on track. This full-time opportunity suits manufacturing veterans who want room to develop further leadership skills. Weekend coverage uses 12-hour shifts rotating as Week 1 Friday through Sunday and Week 2 Thursday through Sunday, supporting consistent production of nutritional supplements across key areas.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Production Operators and coordinate daily workflows to keep lines running efficiently and on time
• Identify and resolve equipment or process issues while fostering a workplace that supports both people and results
• Direct accurate weighing, blending, and setup of raw materials for nutritional supplements, confirming equipment readiness and strict quality standards
• Manage cleaning and sanitization of machinery and production spaces so procedures, records, chemical handling, and hygiene fully meet regulatory and company expectations
• Operate and supervise encapsulation equipment that converts blended formulas into finished capsules, watching machine performance, product quality, throughput, and exact specifications
• Oversee labeling, sealing, inspection, and preparation of finished goods for shipment, driving efficiency without sacrificing compliance or quality

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing settings and comfort leading teams of operators
• Ability to coach colleagues, organize activities, and tackle operational problems in real time
• Working knowledge of quality systems, safety practices, and standards such as FDA and cGMP requirements
• Physical capacity and flexibility for the 12-hour weekend shift rotation described
• Strong interest in progressing into broader leadership roles within production
