Acxiom is hiring a Principal Marketo Consultant for a full-time position in Boston to establish and lead the strategic direction of marketing automation across enterprise organizations. This hands-on leadership role combines technical mastery of Adobe Marketo Engage with the ability to architect solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
About the Role
As a Principal Marketo Consultant at Acxiom, you will serve as a senior technical authority on marketing automation implementation and optimization. You'll lead the design and delivery of complex Marketo campaigns, oversee multi-faceted marketing integrations, and guide organizations toward marketing automation maturity. Your work will directly impact client marketing strategy, revenue generation, and customer engagement effectiveness.
What You'll Do
- Design and architect end-to-end marketing automation solutions using Adobe Marketo Engage
- Lead implementation of sophisticated campaigns, lead management programs, and nurture workflows
- Direct technical integrations between Marketo and CRM systems, data platforms, and marketing technologies
- Establish best practices for data management, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign performance
- Manage complex client projects from discovery through optimization
- Mentor team members and establish standards for Marketo architecture and execution
- Develop reporting frameworks and analytics strategies that translate marketing efforts into business insights
- Serve as escalation point for challenging technical and strategic challenges
What We're Looking For
- Deep technical expertise in Adobe Marketo Engage and Marketo Campaign Classic
- Proven track record architecting and managing large-scale marketing automation programs
- Strong knowledge of marketing integration patterns, APIs, and third-party platform connectors
- Expert-level understanding of lead scoring, lifecycle marketing, and multi-touch attribution
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts
- Experience optimizing campaign performance through testing, analytics, and continuous improvement
- Excellent project management and organizational skills in fast-paced, client-facing environments
