Specialist Consultant – Emergency Medicine (ED)

SPECIALIST CONSULTANT - EMERGENCY MEDICINE (ED) - 250 PER HOUR

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialist Consultant in Emergency Medicine for a locum position starting on August 7, 2026. The shift will run from 15:00 to 23:00 and will involve providing FacEM/GP VMO/SMO/Senior Registrars In Charge coverage.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care during the specified shift hours (15:00 - 23:00).
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care in a public hospital setting.
• Work under the direction of FacEM/GP VMO/SMO/Senior Registrars In Charge.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner is mandatory.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine, particularly in an acute care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Travel and accommodation are included for this position. All rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading where applicable.
