IQVIA is seeking a Principal, Custom Market Research Consulting Services to join its team in Durham, Durham County on a full‑time basis.

About the Role

As a senior leader within the Custom Market Research practice, you will partner with pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare clients to design and execute bespoke research initiatives that inform strategic decisions. You will oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of qualitative and quantitative studies, ensuring insights are actionable, timely, and aligned with business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead cross‑functional project teams in scoping, designing, and fielding custom research programs.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business questions into research objectives and methodologies.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to synthesize primary and secondary data into clear, compelling recommendations.
• Mentor junior consultants and analysts, fostering skill development and promoting best practices across the team.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging methodologies, and regulatory considerations affecting market research.
• Contribute to thought leadership by authoring white papers, presenting at conferences, and supporting business development efforts.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience managing custom market research projects, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare sectors.
• Proven ability to design both qualitative and quantitative studies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and real‑world evidence approaches.
• Strong consulting skills: client relationship management, persuasive communication, and strategic problem‑solving.
• Expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team mentorship and project oversight.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline such as epidemiology, biostatistics, business, or social sciences, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering insights that influence decision‑making.
