Pricing Strategist Principal

Amentum is hiring a Pricing Strategist Principal in Boston, Suffolk County to lead the development of cost and price proposals for complex defense and technology programs. In this full-time role, you'll drive strategic pricing decisions and financial analysis that win business and maximize profitability.

About the Role

You'll direct proposal cost analysis and pricing strategy across Amentum's portfolio. From initial estimation through final price development, you'll provide the strategic financial insights that position us competitively while protecting margins. This is a high-impact role reporting to senior leadership with influence across business development, operations, and delivery teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead cost and price proposal development, including strategic planning and comprehensive financial analysis
• Build and manage complex financial models and spreadsheets supporting proposal teams
• Conduct detailed budget analysis, resource forecasting, and profitability assessments
• Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with client requirements and market conditions
• Collaborate with business development, operations, and delivery teams on proposal strategy
• Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior leaders and clients

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in proposal pricing, cost analysis, and financial modeling for complex programs
• Expert-level Excel skills and proven proficiency with proposal management tools
• Strategic analytical thinking with strong quantitative and financial capabilities
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• US citizenship required
• Preference for candidates with local availability in the Boston area or willingness to travel as needed
