Planate is recruiting a Part-Time General Accountant (Philippines) for a fully remote role aligned with Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. This position offers candidates the chance to deliver essential accounting support from any location while connecting to operations serving that Metro Manila area.

About the Role

As the Part-Time General Accountant (Philippines) at Planate, you will work under the Accounting Manager to carry out core accounting and finance activities on a remote basis. You will help run payroll, administer statutory benefits, handle payables and receivables, maintain financial records, and ensure full compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue and other Philippine government rules. The role calls for a meticulous professional who thrives on focused, efficient work during part-time hours and can support Planate’s financial health across Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines and beyond.

Core Duties

• Support preparation and processing of payroll while confirming all statutory benefit obligations are met.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, covering invoice creation, payment execution, and ongoing collection follow-up.
• Draft and help submit BIR reports together with other legally required government filings.
• Maintain precise, well-ordered, and current financial records and supporting files.
• Contribute to bank reconciliations and track cash movements carefully.
• Assist in producing financial reports and analyses for management review.
• Promote adherence to internal controls, company policies, and standard accounting practices.
• Aid audit preparations and the execution of any required corrective steps.
• Support accounting system maintenance, data entry, and continuous process refinements under the Accounting Manager’s guidance.
• Carry out other accounting or administrative tasks that align with the position when assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; prior payroll and BIR compliance exposure is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, and government statutory obligations.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, with particular strength in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software platforms is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail plus proven organisational and time-management abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines successfully within a part-time framework.
• Willingness to learn continuously and partner closely with the Accounting Manager.
