What You'll Do

• Help assemble and run payroll cycles while confirming proper application of mandated benefits
• Direct the accounts-payable and accounts-receivable workflows, covering bill creation, settlement of amounts owed and follow-up on collections
• Produce and submit BIR returns together with other required government filings
• Preserve complete, orderly and current financial documentation
• Aid bank-statement matching and oversight of cash movements
• Contribute to management-level financial summaries and evaluation materials
• Uphold internal control frameworks, firm policies and accepted accounting methods
• Participate in audit activities and install corrective measures when identified
• Assist with bookkeeping-system refreshes, data input and workflow refinements under Accounting Manager direction
• Undertake additional accounting or administrative tasks that fit the scope of the Part-Time General Accountant (Philippines) post

What We're Looking For

• Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a closely related discipline
• No fewer than five years of practical accounting or bookkeeping background, ideally including payroll processing and BIR compliance
• Solid grasp of Philippine accounting norms, tax rules and statutory obligations
• Skilled use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software considered advantageous
• Proven accuracy, personal organization and effective time management
• Clear written and spoken communication abilities
• Capacity to operate independently and meet schedules within a part-time remote arrangement serving Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines
• Eagerness to grow skills and work side-by-side with the Accounting Manager
