About the Role
As a Bellman at Chebeague Island Inn, you'll be the first and last impression for our guests—greeting arrivals with warmth, assisting with luggage and room transitions, providing knowledgeable local guidance, and supporting the front desk and housekeeping teams. Your role is essential to maintaining the premium, personalized service our guests expect at this 21-room boutique hotel.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage, packages, and room orientation
- Provide concierge-level guidance on local attractions, dining, and activities around the island and greater Portland area
- Coordinate with front desk and housekeeping to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain lobby areas and grounds in pristine condition
- Handle guest requests and solve problems with professionalism and initiative
- Support special events and functions as needed

- Genuine hospitality instinct and warm, professional demeanor
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high service standards
- Physical ability to assist with luggage and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of or enthusiasm for learning about local Maine attractions and culture
