About the Role
You'll be the face of JM Hunter Group in the Tulsa market, driving revenue through a combination of account management and new business development. Your territory spans existing customer relationships and untapped opportunities among regional builders and contractors. This is hands-on, field-based selling that rewards hustle, product knowledge, and relationship building.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow relationships with established building materials accounts throughout the Tulsa region
- Identify, prospect, and close new customers among local contractors, builders, and construction firms
- Conduct site visits, attend job sites, and meet customers in the field to understand their material needs
- Present product solutions, negotiate terms, and structure deals that build long-term partnerships
- Track sales activity, maintain accurate records, and report on market trends and competitive activity
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Proven outside sales experience in building materials, construction supplies, or related B2B distribution
- Track record of success managing accounts and acquiring new business in a territory
- Strong knowledge of building materials, construction practices, or contractor workflows
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build trust with diverse customer types
- Self-directed and goal-oriented; comfortable with independent fieldwork and local travel
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily Tulsa-area calls
