Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is hiring an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant (I/O Psychologist) to advance workforce performance and organizational health. This full-time position is based in Wyoming, Kent County, where you'll work directly with Human Capital Management to drive strategic improvements across the laboratory.

About the Role

In this role, you'll leverage industrial-organizational psychology and organizational development expertise to diagnose challenges, measure performance drivers, and recommend evidence-based solutions. You'll partner with leadership and teams across the laboratory to translate insights from behavioral science into actionable strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness and operational outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct organizational assessments and cultural analyses to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Apply behavioral science frameworks to understand workforce engagement, performance, and organizational dynamics
  • Design and implement organizational development initiatives aligned with laboratory mission and business objectives
  • Develop metrics and measurement systems to evaluate organizational health and program effectiveness
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on workforce strategy and organizational design
  • Support change management efforts and facilitate adoption of organizational improvements across departments
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, operations, and mission-focused teams to ensure sustainable impact

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree or higher in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Psychology, or closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational assessment, survey design, and data analysis
  • Strong foundation in organizational behavior, change management, and performance improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and survey platforms
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels
  • Experience translating research and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Self-directed, with ability to manage multiple initiatives and work independently within a large organization
