The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Capital Health Careers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for individuals through therapeutic interventions. The position is permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE / 24 hours per week) with opportunities to work in Wellington and multiple locations across the district.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to clients of all ages
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve functional abilities and quality of life
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers
- Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities
What You Bring
- A registered Occupational Therapist from New Zealand or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Board
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in occupational therapy
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural safety
