About the Role

As a Nurse in our mental health and psychiatric services, you'll combine clinical expertise with genuine compassion to support individuals and families navigating mental health challenges. What You'll Do

  • Conduct mental health and psychiatric assessments, gathering comprehensive patient histories and monitoring clinical status
  • Administer medications and manage psychiatric treatments, documenting responses and coordinating with psychiatrists and providers
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans focused on mental health recovery and wellness goals
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support during acute psychiatric situations
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, evidence-based treatments, and coping strategies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including social workers, therapists, and physicians
  • Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation and confidential patient records
  • Support the Diocese's mission of compassionate, faith-centered healing and dignity for all

What We're Looking For

  • Active nursing license (RN or LPN) in Texas
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in mental health, psychiatric, or behavioral health nursing
  • Strong patient communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships
  • Comfort working within a faith-based healthcare environment
  • Compassion for vulnerable populations and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and patient record management
  • Current CPR certification and relevant clinical certifications as required
