MUSIC TEACHER INTERNSHIP at EDUCATION THROUGH MUSIC INC in New York, New York

About This Position

This internship is a full-time opportunity to support the mission of Education Through Music (ETM), a non-profit organization that partners with New York City Public Schools. As an intern, you will assist in integrating music programs into school curricula by supporting certified and non-certified music teachers.

Core Duties

• Support the development and implementation of music education programs in schools
• Aid in the training and mentoring of non-certified music educators
• Assist with program evaluation and data collection to measure impact on students' academic and social-emotional growth
• Contribute to the overall success of ETM's initiatives by engaging with school communities, attending meetings, and participating in various projects

Qualifications

• Passion for music education and a commitment to the mission of Education Through Music
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including teachers, students, and administrators
• Strong academic performance and relevant coursework in music or related fields is preferred
• Availability for full-time internship during the academic year (flexible hours)
