About the Role

As a Multi Media Journalist with Nexstar Media in Knoxville, you will own the entire storytelling process — from finding the story to delivering it to viewers. This on-site role blends reporting, photography, writing, and editing into a single craft, ensuring every piece of news content is clear, engaging, and genuinely meaningful to the communities we serve across Knox County.

Key Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, write, voice, and edit news stories for broadcast, digital, and all distribution platforms.
• Produce original content that clearly explains the background, context, and details of unfolding events.
• Coordinate and conduct interviews with sources who can offer insight and information on each story.
• Review, fact-check, and correct copy to uphold accuracy and editorial standards.
• Prepare and feed finished news packages to meet deadlines across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting, writing, and on-camera communication skills.
• Hands-on ability to shoot and edit video for news production.
• Sound news judgment and a commitment to accuracy and fairness.
• Capacity to manage several stories at once and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work on-site in Knoxville, Knox County (this is not a remote position).
