Key Responsibilities
- Execute mid-to-advanced corrective and preventive maintenance by watching equipment operating to isolate root causes, disassembling units to extract failed components, inspecting parts for defects, fine-tuning functional elements and instruments, replacing faulty items, verifying electrical circuits and mechanical systems, and restoring machine tools.
- Locate and obtain replacement parts, materials, and repair components as required.
- Conduct all maintenance work independently while meeting or exceeding industry benchmarks.
- Set up and run various machining equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders or other metalworking tools to fabricate or restore parts, and complete welding assignments when needed.
- Uphold 5S organization and plant housekeeping requirements.
- Champion and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance processes, deliver measurable results, and generate cost reductions.
- Enter accurate data and examine historical records inside the computerized maintenance management system.
- Diagnose control systems to correct software, hardware, and configuration faults.
- Apply predictive maintenance tools to gather and interpret equipment performance information.
- Guide less-experienced technicians, provide informal leadership to small groups, and perform elevated tasks as part of personal skill growth.
- Finish assigned on-the-job training plus independent technical studies to advance professionally.
- Observe every safety policy, rule, regulation, and instruction; maintain full situational awareness and report any unsafe actions or conditions promptly.
Who We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree with a technical emphasis plus three years of general industrial experience, or five years of related industrial experience, or successful completion of the Advanced Technology Services Technician Progression Program.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid-power, and control systems together with the ability to diagnose faults and complete effective repairs.
- Competence with common hand tools plus specialized instruments as the job demands.
- Availability for occasional travel.
