About the Role

In this full-time position, you'll execute high-precision abrasive blasting and surface preparation tasks in confined spaces aboard marine vessels. Your work is critical to ensuring vessels meet strict coating standards and regulatory requirements. You'll operate specialized blasting equipment, maintain rigorous safety protocols, and collaborate with our experienced marine services team to deliver exceptional results on every project.

What You'll Do

• Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation in confined spaces on marine cargo tanks, ballast tanks, and freshwater tanks
• Prepare surfaces to specified standards prior to advanced coatings application
• Operate and maintain blasting equipment safely and effectively
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality meets project specifications
• Follow all safety procedures, confined space protocols, and environmental regulations
• Communicate with team members and supervisors throughout each project phase
• Document work completion and maintain accurate records

What We're Looking For

• Valid Confined Space 1st Class certification or equivalent
• Current blasting certifications and training
• Demonstrated experience in abrasive blasting or surface preparation
• Strong understanding of marine industry safety standards and practices
• Physical ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
