About the Role
You'll own the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of our wire harness assembly manufacturing processes. This role bridges engineering and production—partnering with design teams to validate manufacturability, working with production staff to execute flawlessly, and leading quality initiatives to ensure every harness meets the exacting reliability standards demanded by autonomous maritime platforms.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes for wire harness assemblies and electrical connector systems
- Evaluate production workflows and equipment to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Create and validate quality testing protocols, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
- Diagnose manufacturing defects, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting solutions
- Evaluate suppliers and manufacturing equipment; support procurement decisions for assembly and testing tools
- Train production teams on manufacturing procedures, specifications, and quality expectations
- Maintain production records, process documentation, and equipment maintenance schedules
- Champion lean methodologies and drive continuous improvement across the facility
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Demonstrated expertise in wire harness assembly, conductor termination, and electrical connector processing
- Solid foundation in process design, lean manufacturing, and quality assurance methodologies
- Proficiency with soldering, crimping, continuity testing, and electrical assembly validation techniques
- Track record of diagnosing complex production challenges and implementing effective solutions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions
- Prior experience in marine, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing is valued
