Position Summary

Join Daniel Defense as a Manufacturing Engineer 1 and play a key role in optimizing production processes for premium firearms. Based in Ellabell, Georgia, this entry-level engineering position supports our Operations team in delivering precision-manufactured products to military, law enforcement, and civilian customers who demand the highest quality for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting. You will help develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing methods while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met across our modern facilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

In this hands-on role, you will analyze current manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance product consistency. Daily tasks include creating and updating work instructions, developing tooling and fixture designs, and supporting new product introductions from prototype through full-scale production. You will collaborate closely with production teams to troubleshoot process issues, perform root-cause analysis on defects, and implement corrective actions. Additional responsibilities involve conducting time studies, validating manufacturing processes, supporting lean initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations. You will also assist in equipment qualification and provide technical guidance to machinists and assemblers on the shop floor.
