Position Summary
Daniel Defense is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer 1 to join our Operations team in Black Creek, Georgia. This entry-level engineering role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes for premium firearms and components. You will support production efficiency, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. What You'll Do
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing firearm components. Create detailed work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Support production lines by troubleshooting equipment issues, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability and reduce costs. Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and process validations to meet production targets. Participate in lean manufacturing projects aimed at eliminating waste and increasing throughput. Assist with new product introductions by preparing manufacturing documentation and training floor personnel. Monitor key performance metrics and drive data-based improvements across machining, assembly, and finishing operations.
Who We're Looking For
A motivated engineer with a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing is essential. Experience with CAD software, statistical process control, and lean principles preferred. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. A hands-on approach combined with the desire to learn advanced manufacturing techniques will help you thrive.
