About the Role

As our Maintenance Technician at the Heatherwood community, you'll oversee the day-to-day upkeep and repairs of building systems, grounds, and resident units. This is a hands-on position where your expertise directly impacts resident satisfaction and property value. You'll work independently and collaboratively with our property management team to keep everything running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from residents
  • Conduct routine inspections of common areas, grounds, and building exterior
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and structural issues
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when needed
  • Ensure all work meets local codes and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar hands-on maintenance role
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
  • Ability to diagnose problems and execute repairs efficiently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various weather conditions
