MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

KOA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Engineer in South Padre Island, Cameron County, to keep our campground facilities in top condition. If you're a hands-on professional with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer at our South Padre Island location, you'll be the backbone of our facility operations. You'll manage the day-to-day upkeep of our campground buildings, grounds, and guest amenities, performing both routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. This is a hands-on position where your technical skills and problem-solving directly impact the guest experience and the longevity of our property.

What You'll Do

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting work throughout the campground
• Install, maintain, and repair fixtures, equipment, and appliances in cabins and common areas
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and systems to identify maintenance needs and safety issues
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff with efficiency and professionalism
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and material usage
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized work is required
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in maintenance, repairs, or facilities management
• Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and painting
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliability, accountability, and a customer-service mindset
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
