Maintenance Engineer – Full-Time Position

KOA is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to support our Tucson, Pima County campground operations. In this hands-on role, you'll ensure our facilities, buildings, and grounds remain safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests while developing expertise across multiple skilled trades.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer at our Tucson campground, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day upkeep and repair of all property systems and structures. From buildings and utility infrastructure to recreational equipment and landscaped grounds, you'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and install new fixtures as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining a quality guest experience through proactive facility management.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute routine and preventive maintenance on campground buildings, structures, and facilities
• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting work to keep facilities in safe working order
• Install, repair, and replace fixtures, equipment, and appliances throughout the property
• Inspect facilities and grounds regularly to identify and address maintenance needs
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment service history
• Work collaboratively with management to prioritize repairs and coordinate project schedules

Requirements

• Hands-on experience or demonstrated proficiency in general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or painting
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability and willingness to learn across multiple trades
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow workplace safety protocols
• Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication with team members and guests
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including standing, climbing, and lifting
