About the Role

MCIS Language Solutions is seeking qualified *MAG Certified* freelance interpreters to provide professional spoken interpretation services throughout the Toronto area. As an English-Malayalam interpreter, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between individuals and organizations across healthcare, legal, educational, and public safety sectors. This part-time position offers flexible engagement based on service demand and your availability, allowing you to work with diverse clients who depend on reliable interpretation support.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between English and Malayalam in community settings
• Deliver interpretation services in hospitals, medical facilities, and healthcare environments
• Support communication at police stations and law enforcement interactions
• Interpret during tribunal hearings, legal proceedings, and administrative meetings
• Facilitate interpretation in schools, educational institutions, and family-related appointments
• Maintain confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and professional accuracy in every assignment
• Adapt effectively to varied client environments and communication needs

Who We're Looking For

• *MAG Certified* or certified through an equivalent recognized accrediting body, or eligible to obtain certification
• Fluent, native-level proficiency in both English and Malayalam
