Independent Optometrist – Walmart

About the Role

As an Independent Optometrist at Walmart, you'll establish and manage your own optometry practice while leasing space within our West Derby store. This arrangement provides you with complete control over your professional operations—from scheduling your own hours to designing your patient care approach—while benefiting from Walmart's established customer base and store infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for patients of all ages
• Diagnose and manage various eye conditions and diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction solutions
• Provide professional consultations on eye health, vision care, and general ocular wellness
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Build and grow your patient base through quality care and professional referral relationships
• Manage your independent practice operations, including scheduling and business administration
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state optometry regulations and licensing requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current, active license to practice optometry in your state
• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
