Loss Prevention Detective

Marshalls of MA is seeking a Loss Prevention Detective for our Port Chester, Westchester County location. As a full-time member of our asset protection team, you'll protect company assets, investigate security concerns, and help maintain a safe retail environment for both customers and team members.

What This Role Involves

In this position, you'll be the eyes and ears of our loss prevention operation at our Port Chester store. You'll conduct investigations into inventory discrepancies, implement surveillance strategies, and document security incidents with precision. Your work directly impacts our ability to operate efficiently and maintain the trust our customers place in Marshalls. Working within TJX Companies' framework, you'll apply industry-standard protocols while contributing to a culture of accountability and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate suspected theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage through interviews and surveillance review
• Monitor store operations and customer behavior to identify suspicious activity and security risks
• Maintain detailed incident reports and document findings for management and legal review
• Collaborate with store management and loss prevention leadership on preventive strategies
• Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to loss prevention protocols
• Work with external partners and law enforcement when necessary

What You Bring

• Experience in loss prevention, retail security, or investigation (or equivalent background)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
• Clear communication skills and reliability
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
