About the Role
This locum dermatology position offers the flexibility that defines locum tenens practice. Assignments range from single-day shifts to extended multi-month or multi-year placements, with locations spanning urban, suburban, and rural healthcare settings throughout California. You'll work directly with CompHealth, a trusted national leader in physician staffing, ensuring professional support and streamlined credentialing throughout your assignment.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with dermatologic conditions across the full clinical spectrum
- Perform dermatologic procedures and minor surgical interventions within your scope of practice
- Establish comprehensive treatment plans and provide patient education on skin health management
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and communicate findings with collaborating healthcare providers
- Adapt to diverse clinical environments and patient populations across multiple California locations
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO with completed dermatology residency or fellowship training
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Board certification or board eligibility in dermatology
- Strong clinical diagnostic and procedural skills
- Professional demeanor and excellent patient communication abilities
- Flexibility and openness to varying practice settings and assignment structures
