Position Summary
Sysco is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Local CDL-A Truck Driver to support our Tallmadge distribution operations. In this full-time role, you'll operate our delivery vehicles on established routes, making daily stops with various customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care. This position offers the advantage of a consistent schedule—you'll return home daily, not spend weeks on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial delivery vehicle safely using your CDL-A license
- Execute daily delivery routes efficiently and on schedule
- Load, transport, and unload products according to safety standards
- Interact professionally with customers at each stop
- Maintain vehicle logs, inspect the truck before each shift, and report maintenance issues
- Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and Sysco safety policies
- Document accurate delivery records and customer information
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum driving experience as required by federal and state regulations
- Clean driving record and pass DOT medical certification
- Background check clearance
- Ability to work full-time on a consistent schedule
- Physical capability to load and unload delivery items
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
