Role Overview

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with SonderMind, you'll deliver evidence-based mental health treatment to clients across a diverse range of presenting concerns. This full-time position offers the opportunity to practice autonomously while leveraging our proprietary platform and AI-enhanced tools to optimize clinical workflows, streamline documentation, and improve treatment outcomes. You'll have the flexibility to shape your practice, integrate your existing client relationships, and grow your caseload through our established referral network.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessments to establish clinical baseline and inform treatment planning
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling across the lifespan
• Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes within regulatory and organizational standards
• Monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, and evaluate treatment efficacy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and external providers to ensure coordinated care
• Utilize SonderMind's platform tools and clinical resources to enhance service delivery
• Maintain professional licensure, continuing education, and clinical competency standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Counselor (LCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent Virginia mental health license
• Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related mental health field
• Minimum 2+ years of direct clinical experience providing individual therapy
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities and clinical assessment
• Strong clinical documentation, organizational, and time-management skills
• Comfort with telehealth platforms and mental health technology
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice standards
