What This Role Involves

The Legal & Compliance Lead/Manager will play a strategic role in supporting Ambition's international trading activities. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing internal policies and procedures, and providing legal advice to the business.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations relevant to physical commodities, energy trading, and oil & gas.
• Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures related to legal and compliance matters.
• Provide legal advice and support to the business on a wide range of issues including contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee due diligence processes for new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in physical commodities, energy trading, or oil & gas legal compliance.
• Degree in law with a specialization in relevant fields.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and legal requirements in the energy sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in managing complex legal issues and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
