Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all arrivals with genuine warmth and positivity as the first person guests encounter.
• Manage efficient, professional check-in processes while meeting compliance requirements.
• Answer routine inquiries, direct foot traffic, and provide basic concierge-style assistance.
• Maintain a visible, calm, and approachable presence that deters issues and supports order.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and exterior perimeters to protect safety, comfort, and regulatory adherence.
• De-escalate tensions through clear, tactful communication and empathy.
• Escort guests when needed, assist with guest flow, cleanliness, and operational safety needs, and remain mobile throughout the shift.
• Report and urgently address safety, security, or compliance incidents.
• Support emergency preparedness and response for fire, evacuation, or weather events.
• Complete visual inspections and checks following standard procedures to keep the site hazard-free.
• Build collaborative relationships with store teams, leaders, and visitors.
• Share discrete observations about guest interactions, risks, or concerns.
• Model professional, welcoming conduct while helping train new Asset Protection Specialists.
• Perform additional assigned duties that support store operations.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems or compliance technology preferred.
• Security, military, or law-enforcement background is helpful when paired with a guest-first hospitality focus.
• Ability to work varying shifts including mornings, days, nights, and weekends based on business needs.
• Reliable, dependable attendance is required.
• Must successfully clear all background checks, including state cannabis employment requirements.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and satisfy all state-specific cannabis employment rules.
• Maintain ongoing compliance with legal and company regulations for cannabis industry work.
• Friendly professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and consistent customer service excellence.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic under stress and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Capacity to build effective working relationships and to follow direction while incorporating constructive feedback.
• Understanding of applicable cannabis laws, safety regulations, local codes, and operating procedures plus integrity when handling confidential or HIPAA-related information.
• Physical ability to stay alert and mobile for full shifts, stand or walk extended periods indoors and outdoors, move about the dispensary assisting guests, lift materials up to 30 pounds, remain stationary when required, operate computers and POS equipment, and inspect detailed guest information such as birthdates or order details.
