About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate, you'll be the backbone of daily store operations, balancing customer-facing sales with behind-the-scenes store management. You'll work flexible hours in a fast-paced retail environment, directly supporting your store manager and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience every time they visit.

What You'll Do

• Deliver excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and handling transactions at the register
• Maintain store appearance by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and keeping displays attractive and accessible
• Open or close the store according to schedule, including cash handling, security procedures, and deposit preparation
• Train and mentor new team members on Dollar General standards, store policies, and customer service excellence
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with receiving shipments, and help reduce shrinkage through loss prevention practices
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve concerns professionally, and escalate complex issues to management when needed
• Support promotional events and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations

What We're Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for this position
• Retail experience or proven customer service background preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Comfortable with technology and capable of learning store systems quickly
• Ability to lift, carry, and organize merchandise regularly
