The Opportunity
We're seeking a Lead Physical Access Engineer to lead our Mobile Key product and integrations, ensuring seamless guest access across various lock vendors. As the leader of this critical team, you'll set technical standards, collaborate closely with Product to enhance lock-vendor coverage, and work alongside the Arrivals and Kiosk teams to ensure a smooth guest journey.
What You'll Do
- Lead a pod of engineers responsible for Canary's Physical Access product—Mobile Key and its integrations.
- Elevate the architecture of Mobile Key, ensuring reliability, security, and low-latency performance at critical moments.
- Partner with Product to expand lock-vendor coverage and enhance the guest experience through Mobile Key.
- Collaborate closely with the Arrivals and Kiosk teams where the guest journey connects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or similar role in software development.
- Demonstrated expertise in physical access control systems, specifically Mobile Key integrations.
- A deep understanding of security protocols and best practices for low-latency systems.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
