This full-time opportunity places you with established law practices—from nationally recognized Am Law 100 firms to specialized boutiques—seeking skilled practitioners who understand how to protect employer interests while navigating the state's evolving employment regulations. You'll work on substantive matters across labor law, employment litigation, and workplace compliance.
What You'll Do
- Advise employers on compliance with state and federal employment statutes, including wage and hour laws, discrimination and retaliation prevention, and California-specific workplace requirements
- Represent employers in employment litigation, arbitrations, and disputes involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and related claims
- Prepare and revise employment agreements, severance packages, and workplace policies
- Counsel clients on employee separations, workforce reductions, and sensitive employment decisions
- Handle administrative investigations and regulatory matters before state and federal agencies
What We're Looking For
- Active California law license
- Substantive experience in employment law with a track record of employer representation
- Strong analytical and legal writing abilities
- Client relationship management skills and business acumen
- Strategic problem-solving approach to employment matters
- Professional judgment and ethical practice standards
