About the Role
As an Associate Attorney in our employment litigation practice, you will handle complex workplace disputes from initial client consultation through trial preparation and settlement negotiation. You will manage your own caseload of employment-related matters while working collaboratively with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy and maximize client outcomes. This role offers substantial client interaction, independent case management, and exposure to diverse employment law issues.
What You'll Do
- Manage plaintiff employment cases from intake through resolution, including case evaluation and legal strategy
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
- Prepare clients for depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and handle adverse party communications
- Represent clients in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and retaliation matters
- Build client relationships and develop a sustainable practice
What We're Looking For
- Current California bar license or ability to obtain one
- Experience in litigation or plaintiff-side employment law
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines independently
- Client service orientation and professional demeanor
- Commitment to growth in a collaborative legal environment
