Role Overview

Join PeopleAdmin's Campus Recreation team as an Intramural Student Sports Official in Naperville. In this full-time position, you'll manage the flow and integrity of intramural competitions across multiple sports and special event formats. You'll work directly with the Director of Campus Recreation and the Graduate Assistant to deliver engaging, well-organized recreational athletic programming that fosters community and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Officiate intramural sporting events and special recreational competitions, applying consistent knowledge of game rules and regulations
• Attend all mandatory training sessions and clinics to develop and refresh officiating skills for specific sports
• Collaborate with the field supervisor to set up, prepare, and break down game facilities before and after events
• Enforce all Rec Sports Program rules and regulations with fairness and clear communication
• Support event operations and contribute to additional duties as assigned by Campus Recreation leadership

What You Bring

• Strong familiarity with the rules of one or more sports (training for additional sports is provided)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make quick, fair decisions under pressure
• Physical ability to stand, move, and remain active throughout game duration
• Commitment to enforcing rules consistently and treating all participants with respect
• Availability for evening, weekend, and special event scheduling as required
• Willingness to participate in required training, clinics, and team meetings
