About the Role
As the Coffee Lab Graduate Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of a state-of-the-art teaching facility built on a faculty-student-partner model. The Coffee Lab pairs academic learning with a working social enterprise centered on direct trade and relationship-based sourcing, giving students a distinctive educational experience while serving both the campus and the wider Naperville community. Carrying forward momentum established through Enactus, this position blends practical business operations with a mission-driven approach to coffee.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Coffee Lab at North Central College.
- Support the faculty-student-partner collaboration that powers the lab's educational and business activities.
- Help advance direct trade and relationship-based social enterprise initiatives.
- Contribute to programming that serves students, faculty, and the surrounding community.
- Build on the foundation created through prior Enactus efforts to grow the lab's impact.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in or eligibility for a graduate assistantship, consistent with the graduate-level nature of the role.
- Interest in coffee, social enterprise, direct trade, or community-focused business models.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills suited to a faculty-student-partner environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Naperville, DuPage County (this is not a remote position).
