About the Role
This full-time position involves delivering structured ice hockey instruction as part of our educational curriculum. You'll work with small cohorts of students at varying skill levels, developing individualized lesson plans that meet each learner's developmental needs and existing capabilities. The role combines technical hockey instruction with youth mentorship, fostering growth and enjoyment of the sport.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver hockey instruction for small classes of 2–6 students per session
- Conduct 30-minute lessons customized to each student's age and current ability level
- Develop progressive curricula aligned with student age groups spanning 3–15 years
- Create safe, engaging, and confidence-building learning environments on the ice
- Teach up to 25 hours weekly during your scheduled time blocks
Schedule & Hours
- Weekday coaching hours: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Weekend coaching hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Two consecutive days off per week (Monday–Friday options available)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (athletics, physical education, sports science, or coaching certification)
- Demonstrated proficiency in English communication
- Hands-on experience coaching or teaching ice hockey
- Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-ability and young learner populations
- Commitment to youth athletic development and student success
