HVAC – Service Technician (Evenings & Weekends)

Apex Service Partners is seeking an HVAC - Service Technician (Evenings & Weekends) to join their team in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County.

About the Role

This position focuses on delivering reliable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning service during evening and weekend shifts. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure residential and light commercial systems operate safely and efficiently when customers need them most.

What You'll Do

• Respond to service calls for HVAC equipment, diagnosing faults and performing repairs on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including cleaning, testing, and adjusting system controls to extend equipment life.
• Provide clear explanations of findings and recommended actions to homeowners or property managers, offering options that align with their needs and budget.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and time logs, in accordance with company procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, and best practices while working in various residential settings.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with emerging technologies and service techniques.
• Support the Blaze Heating Cooling Electrical Plumbing Generators service team by upholding high standards of workmanship and customer care.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician, with a solid grasp of residential system troubleshooting and repair.
• Valid EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain) and any state‑required HVAC licensure.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on delivering courteous, professional service during after‑hours appointments.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to completing work safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer proficiency for entering service notes and accessing digital work orders.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as travel between job sites is required.
